In the role of committee secretary at the social administration, you will combine your interest in social issues with your personal strengths of being structured, meticulous, and solution-oriented.

The main mission of the social administration is to provide support, care, and assistance to elderly individuals, people with disabilities, children, youth, families, individuals with substance abuse issues, individuals with financial difficulties, and support for relatives. Together with the Region, the municipality also has a shared responsibility as the principal for primary care.

We are now looking for you who are a structured, responsible, and committed committee secretary.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a committee secretary, you play a significant role in the administration where you are an important link between administration and politics. You ensure that the political process is followed in accordance with applicable legislation and Kumla municipality's established routines and governing documents.

Responsibilities as a committee secretary include document management, registration, preparation of summons, minute-taking, and dispatching decisions. You provide support to managers and caseworkers in formulating various types of decision-making materials. The job involves having many important contacts with citizens, elected officials, municipal employees, authorities, and other partners. The role also includes general administrative tasks.

You will work in a fully digital case process and be part of a cross-municipal group where you, together with the administrative manager and other committee secretaries/municipal secretaries, develop our existing routines and working methods.

Your workplace will be in Kumla's city hall, you will be part of the administration's staff, and the administrative manager will be your immediate supervisor. You will also support the staff with various administrative tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in social or political science, law, public administration, or similar. You have good knowledge of the Local Government Act, the Administrative Procedure Act, and public access and secrecy legislation, or work experience that the employer deems equivalent.

It is an advantage if you have experience from a similar position in another municipality or public administration.

You express yourself very well in spoken and written Swedish and are clear in your communication. As a person, you are meticulous, responsible, and have a service-oriented approach. You take initiative and work proactively to solve tasks and assignments. For you, it is important to have order and structure, and you thrive in an administrative role where you can take responsibility.
